P0777

2017-10-10

Description:

  • The fault code P0777 indicates that there is an issue with the pressure control solenoid B which is stuck in the on position. This may cause the transmission to shift poorly or not at all.

Possible Symptoms:

  • Harsh or delayed shifts

  • Slipping transmission

  • Reduced fuel efficiency

  • Illuminated check engine light

  • Transmission stuck in a single gear

Possible Causes:

  • Failed pressure control solenoid

  • Faulty wiring or connections in the circuit

  • Loose or corroded electrical connections

  • Failed transmission control module (TCM)

Related Parts:

  • Pressure Control Solenoid: This solenoid regulates the oil flow in the transmission. Problems with this solenoid lead to engine misfire, poor fuel economy, poor acceleration

Possible Solutions:

  • Replace the pressure control solenoid

  • Check and repair any damaged wiring or connections

  • Tighten or clean any loose or corroded electrical connections

  • Replace the transmission control module (TCM) if necessary
