Description:

  • The fault code P0762 means that the shift solenoid C is stuck in the on position which controls the shift timing in the automatic transmission. This can cause the transmission to shift improperly or not at all.

Possible Symptoms:

  • Transmission won't shift or shifts erratically

  • Illuminated check engine light

  • Transmission slipping

  • Transmission overheating

Possible Causes:

  • Malfunctioning shift solenoid C

  • Faulty electrical connections or wiring in the circuit
