Inoperative cruise control system
Cruise control cannot be set or maintained
Check Engine Light (CEL) illuminated
Faulty cruise control servo
Open or short circuit in the cruise control servo control circuit
Faulty engine control module (ECM)
Cruise Control Circuit: Cruise control automatically controls the speed of a car by maintaining a steady speed as set by the driver. Problems lead to car not able to cruise at a constant speed
Test and replace the faulty cruise control servo, if necessary
Check for any open or short circuits in the cruise control servo control circuit and repair as needed
Test and replace the engine control module (ECM) if it is determined to be faulty
Ensure proper electrical connections in the cruise control servo control circuit
