Description:

  • The fault code P0574 indicates a problem in the cruise control system has detected a speed higher than its specified limit.

Possible Symptoms:

  • Cruise control system not functioning properly or at all

  • Illuminated check engine light

  • Brake light may remain on even when the brake pedal is not applied

  • Possible loss of brake light functionality

Possible Causes:

  • Faulty cruise control switch

  • Short circuit in the cruise control/brake switch A circuit. check for Blown Fuse.

  • This fault may come if attempt to activate cruise control at high speeds (above the limits defined for cruise control module) is made.

  • Failed engine control module (ECM)
