Description:

  • The fault code P0559 indicates that the brake booster pressure sensor circuit has a intermittent signal. This may result in the brake pedal feeling hard and difficult to press down or the brakes may not work at all.

Possible Symptoms:

  • Hard brake pedal

  • Difficulty in pressing down the brake pedal

  • Brakes not responding or working poorly

  • Illuminated check engine light

Possible Causes:

  • Failed brake booster pressure sensor

  • Faulty wiring or connections in the circuit

  • Loose or corroded electrical connections

  • Failed engine control module (ECM)

Related Parts:

  • Brake Booster Pressure Sensor: Brake Booster Pressure Sensor measures the pressure in the brake line that provides extra braking power. Problems lead to inefficient braking and may cause accidents

Possible Solutions:

  • Replace the brake booster pressure sensor

  • Check and repair any damaged wiring or connections

  • Tighten or clean any loose or corroded electrical connections

  • Replace the engine control module (ECM) if necessary
