Description:

  • The fault code P0433 is triggered when there is an issue with the heated catalyst system efficiency

Possible Symptoms:

  • Check Engine Light (CEL) illuminated

  • Decreased engine performance or power

  • Poor fuel efficiency

  • Strong smell of rotten eggs (sulfur) from the exhaust

Possible Causes:

  • Faulty catalytic converter in bank 2

  • Oxygen (O2) sensor malfunction in bank 2

  • Exhaust leak or damaged exhaust system components in bank 2

  • Engine misfire or running rich condition in bank 2

  • Faulty engine control module (ECM)
