Description:

  • The fault code P0127 indicates that the intake air temperature in the engine is higher than expected, which may cause the engine to run poorly or not at all.

Possible Symptoms:

  • Illuminated check engine light

  • Poor engine performance

  • Rough idle or stalling

  • Overheating engine

Possible Causes:

  • Faulty intake air temperature sensor

  • Faulty MAF sensor or the associated circuit

  • Short or open circuit in the intake air temperature sensor wiring

  • Damaged intake air inlet pipe

  • Faulty engine control module (ECM)

Related Parts:

  • Intake Air Temperature Sensor: Intake Air Temperature Sensor measures the temperature of air at which it is taken into the engine. This car's malfunctioning sensor will lead to engine stalling, lack of power and engine noises

Possible Solutions:

  • Replace the faulty intake air temperature sensor

  • Replace the faulty MAF sensor

  • Check and repair any damaged wiring or connections in the intake air temperature sensor circuit

  • Check and repair any damaged wiring or connections associated with MAF sensor circuit
