Illumination of the Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) or Check Engine Light (CEL)
Decreased engine performance or power
Rough idling or stalling
Poor fuel efficiency
Possible misfires or hesitation during acceleration
Faulty or malfunctioning exhaust valve control solenoid
Wiring or connector issues in the solenoid circuit
Open circuit or excessive resistance in the solenoid circuit
Potential ECM (Engine Control Module) failure
Exhaust Valve: The exhaust gases after combustion are sent out of the engine through the exhaust valve. Problems lead to harmful emissions out of limit
Inspect the exhaust valve control solenoid and its wiring for any visible damage or loose connections
Verify the voltage and continuity in the solenoid circuit using a multimeter
Check the solenoid and its connector for signs of corrosion or moisture
Replace the exhaust valve control solenoid if it is determined to be faulty
If necessary, diagnose the ECM for potential malfunctions and replace if needed
