Illumination of the Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) or Check Engine Light (CEL)
Decreased engine performance or power
Rough idling or stalling
Poor fuel efficiency
Possible misfires or hesitation during acceleration
Faulty intake valve control solenoid
Wiring or connector issues in the solenoid circuit
High resistance or short circuit in the solenoid circuit
Malfunctioning engine control module (ECM)
Intake Valve: Intake manifold supplies the fuel/air mixture to the cylinders. Intake valve controls this air flow. This car's malfunctioning valve may lead to engine stalling, lack of power and engine noises
Inspect the intake valve control solenoid and its wiring for any visible damage or loose connections
Test the solenoid's resistance to ensure it falls within the specified range
Check for any signs of corrosion or moisture in the solenoid or its connector
Replace the intake valve control solenoid if it is determined to be faulty
If necessary, diagnose the ECM for any potential faults and replace if required
