Illuminated Check Engine Light (CEL)
Reduced engine power or acceleration
Engine stalling or hesitation during acceleration
Decreased fuel economy
Rough idling or engine misfires
Potential difficulty in starting the engine
Faulty MAP sensor
Malfunctioning barometric pressure sensor
Wiring problems in the MAP/barometric pressure sensor circuit
Software malfunction or failure in the PCM
Vacuum leakage
Restricted or clogged intake air duct or air filter
Failed EGR valve
Exhaust Valve: The exhaust gases after combustion are sent out of the engine through the exhaust valve. Problems lead to harmful emissions out of limit
Inspect and repair any damaged or corroded wiring in the MAP/barometric pressure sensor circuit.
Replace the defective MAP or barometric pressure sensor.
Replace the PCM if it is determined to be faulty.
Verify the proper functioning of the EGR valve.
Check for restrictions or blockages in the intake air duct and air filter, and replace if needed.
