Reduced fuel efficiency
Poor engine performance and acceleration.
A faulty ambient air temperature sensor
Short circuit or damage on the wiring of the sensor

Failed engine control module (ECM)
Ambient Air Temperature Sensor: This is usually located in the air inlet. It measures the outside air temperature. Problems here lead to engine stalling, lack of power and a noisy engine
Replace the ambient air temperature sensor
Check and repair any damaged wiring or connections
Clean any corroded electrical connections
Replace the engine control module (ECM) if necessary
