Illuminated Check Engine Light
Poor engine performance or rough idling
Reduced fuel efficiency
Failed emissions test
Potential damage to the catalytic converter if the issue is not resolved
Malfunctioning downstream oxygen sensor (Bank 2 Sensor 3)
Short circuit in the sensor's heater circuit
Problems with the wiring or connectors in the sensor's circuit
Faulty engine control module (ECM)
Heated Oxygen Sensor: This is one of the parts that fails very commonly. It measures the amount of oxygen to ensure proper combustion. Problems in the Oxygen Sensor lead to poor fuel economy
Test and replace the defective downstream oxygen sensor (Bank 2 Sensor 3)
Inspect the wiring and connectors in the sensor's circuit for any signs of damage or loose connections
Repair or replace any damaged wiring or connectors
If necessary, test and replace the engine control module (ECM)
