Description:

  • The fault code P0029 indicates that there is an issue with the circuit that controls the intake valve control solenoid for bank 2. This may cause the engine to run poorly or not start at all.

Possible Symptoms:

  • Illuminated check engine light

  • Rough idle or stalling

  • Reduced engine power or acceleration

  • Poor fuel economy

Possible Causes:

  • Faulty intake valve control solenoid

  • Damaged or corroded wiring in the solenoid circuit

  • Poor connections in the solenoid circuit

  • Failed engine control module (ECM)

Related Parts:

  • Exhaust Valve: The exhaust gases after combustion are sent out of the engine through the exhaust valve. Problems lead to harmful emissions out of limit

Possible Solutions:

  • Replace the intake valve control solenoid

  • Check and repair any damaged wiring or connections in the solenoid circuit

  • Tighten or clean any poor connections in the solenoid circuit

  • Replace the engine control module (ECM) if necessary
