Illuminated check engine light
Decreased fuel efficiency
Poor acceleration or engine response
Rough idle or stalling
Engine misfires or backfires
Faulty camshaft position actuator or sensor
Wiring or connection issues in the camshaft position circuit
Failed engine control module (ECM)
Failed timing chain or tensioner
Camshaft Position Sensor: The camshaft position sensor monitors the position of the camshaft to regulate fuel injection. Problems lead to stalling or car failing to start.
Replace the faulty camshaft position sensor or actuator
Repair any damaged wiring or connections in the camshaft position circuit
Replace the engine control module (ECM) if necessary
Inspect and replace the timing chain or tensioner if found to be faulty
